Bonifay Taekwondo offers a specialized ATA Taekwondo program for preschool aged children, from ages 3 to 4. A special curriculum is used to offer children a strong foundation in essential character building qualities such as courtesy, respect and discipline. In addition, a lot of attention is paid to the development and improvement of the young child's motor skills including their ability to focus, pay attention and follow directions. All Tiny Tigers classes are taught using the safe, fun and exciting training practices available for this young age group.
There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the Martial Arts. ATA has developed programs for ages 5 to 12 based on traditional Martial Arts for kids. We train our students to the best of their ability. Some students come to us in shape, while others have come to us overweight. Most come to us with limited flexibility. Adults start at any age and most all go on to earn their black belts. As a student, you are looked upon as an individual, never compared to anyone else. Self-Defense - When the speed and power developed through Martial Arts is used in a self-defense situation against soft vulnerable parts of an attacker's body, the result can be incredible. Martial Arts allows a woman to emphasize many of her natural physical strengths, such as power in the legs, while learning a method of self-defense efficient against a much larger opponent.
